Approval Routes

The right approver, every time, without anyone forwarding an email.

Set approval rules once, by amount, department, request type and location. Oxcod sends each request down the right line, with deadlines, reminders, delegation when someone is on leave, and escalation when a step is overdue.

How it works

Three stops to get it running.

01

Write the rule in plain terms

Under ₹50,000 goes to the manager. ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh adds Finance. Above ₹2 lakh adds the CFO.

02

Set deadlines and backups

Give each step a deadline, a reminder time, a delegate for leave days and an escalation contact.

03

Approvers act from anywhere

Approve or reject in the app, from an email button or from a secure WhatsApp link, with a comment if needed.

What you get

Built for the way requests really move.

Every capability below is part of Approval Routes, configured with point and click.

AR-01

Sequential and parallel

Legal and Finance can review at the same time. The request moves on when both are done, or when any one is, your choice.

AR-02

Approver by role

Route to "reporting manager" or "site head of this location", not a named person, so rules survive staff changes.

AR-03

Delegation

When an approver marks leave, their approvals go to the delegate for those dates and come back after.

AR-04

Escalation

If a step passes its deadline, Oxcod reminds, then escalates to the next level you choose.

AR-05

Send back for changes

Approvers can return a request with a note. The requester edits and resubmits without starting over.

AR-06

Conditional steps

Add a step only when needed, such as an IT check for any request that includes software.

Approval by link

Approvals happen where approvers already are.

Most delays are not decisions. They are people who have not opened the email yet. Oxcod sends a short summary with Approve and Reject buttons to the channel each approver prefers.

  • Secure, single use links that expire after use
  • Full request and attachments one tap away
  • Comment required on rejection, so the requester knows why

Questions

About Approval Routes.

01Can an approver use WhatsApp?

Yes. They get a secure link that opens the request summary with Approve and Reject buttons. Every action is recorded in the audit trail.

02What happens when the approver is on leave?

Their approvals move to the delegate for the leave dates. If no delegate is set, the step escalates after its deadline.

03Who can change the rules?

Only the process owner and admins. Every rule change is versioned, and requests already in progress keep the rule they started with.
